16-18 Gray St | PO Box 67, Kogarah NSW 1485
ABN 83 458 985 477

“Sharing God's Love with the Local Community.”

Church gifThe Kogarah Storehouse is a non-government community service organisation that seeks to meet the material, emotional and spiritual needs of the local community.

Emergency Relief
We provide financial assistance to individuals and families experiencing
financial hardship due to a sudden drop in income or unexpected crisis. If
you are in need of help you should ring The Storehouse to make an
appointment to ensure we can give you the time needed to assess your needs.
If you are receiving Centrelink benefits we also ask that you bring to your
interview an Income Statement and a Centrelink referral.

EAPA (Energy Accounts Payments Assistance scheme)
We provide assistance for those experiencing difficulty paying their electricity and/or gas bills due to financial hardship.

Food Assistance
We provide food parcels to those who have little or no finances to purchase food until their next pay day. Food parcels contain mainly non perishable such as canned goods; noodles, spaghetti; packet soups etc.

Case Management

We offer short term case management when necessary. Liaison and networking with other local non government and government agencies forms part of the case management strategy.

Opportunities exist for volunteers with general office assistant skills to help out at the Storehouse.

Are you wanting to engage with people in our community who are struggling to make ends meet?

Or are you willing to learn?

Do you have a spare morning or afternoon each week or each fortnight?

Then we need you!

We need help in keeping the office ticking over to free up our professional staff to assess the needs of those who come seeking help and offer practical assistance.

Ideally we require people who have:

·        a  friendly & helpful manner,

·        good communications skills,

·        basic computer skills

·        a willingness to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia

Hours are negotiable

Training is provided for all our volunteers

Please contact Margie at the Storehouse if you are interested.
