Membership and Training Information

Training:

Membership of OGSA requires completion of the training course. This course is limited to those who have submitted their Nomination Forms and paid the associated fees (these can be paid at the first session).

Any new members who wish to join the training course will need to contact Les (0408127416) or Julie (0408931243) to arrange a time for their first session.

On successful completion fo this first session the trainees will be able to join in with the regular three hour training sessions on Saturday afternoons. The duration of the course is nominally 9 weeks.

The training team will also be running regular "Have a Go Days" where people who would just like to have a shoot or find out more about OGSA can come and try pistols / revolvers / rifles and shotguns (cost $25).

The dates for these "Have a Go Days" in 2010 are:

Commencing at 12noon.

Gun Safety

  1. The gun is always loaded.
  2. Never point your gun at anything you do not intend to shoot.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target!
  4. Check that the area behind your target is clear before you shoot.
  5. Always wear eye and ear protection.
